We are organizing for the March GMM to pass a motion to implement hybrid meetings. To learn more about why hybrid meetings are an essential tool to securing our democratic union rights, visit this page.

It's no secret that the 416 executive is against implementing hybrid meetings for the general union membership, despite the fact that they use hybrid meetings for executive board meetings. We believe that, like previous GMMs that have met quorum, the executive is looking to stack this meeting with members who will vote against hybrid meetings. Therefore, we need to organize as many members as possible to attend this GMM to pass a motion and force the executive's hand.

We are asking all members to:

3. Schedule or join a carpool.

5. Send a regrets email in support of hybrid meetings

   • If you are unable to attend the GMM, please send your "regrets" to the union executive, expressing your support for hybrid meetings. The executive can be reached at INFO@LOCAL416.ORG.
